Heritage acquire second factory
With a further increase in orders for our homes, Heritage have been looking at ways to increase production over the last few months. Historically, the solution has been to move the company to new premises, but due to the current circumstances, logistically it was simpler to extend our current factory or to buy a second factory elsewhere.
Against the odds, an ideal situation arose where the factory neighbouring our current building on the Penamser Business Park came on the market, and as of 1 August 2007, Heritage took possession of the new premises. The new factory effectively gives us an initial increase in production of 50%, with the potential to increase an extra 100% in the future.
While the former owners, Menai Foam & Board, have moved away from the area, there will still be a net gain for jobs in the immediate surroundings as there are plans to take on 15 new staff members over the next few months, both in the factory and office.
Production in the new factory is planned to start towards the middle of October 2007 as all of our production slots for the existing facility have been filled up to summer 2008 and more orders are still expected to come in.
