Description
Heritage has been working with Merebrook, one of the UK’s most desirable park home locations. Together we think we have found ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment. Our new home, the Heritage Serenity, includes some alternative materials and technologies which will start to play a bigger part in all of our lives in the future.
Heritage as a company are concerned about the environment and the effect we have on it. We are looking
at ways in which we could reduce our impact, so it was very encouraging to see that our customers felt the same when we were approached by Merebrook to help design the Serenity.
We hope to see these technologies start to make their way into the standard build of our homes until they become commonplace throughout the industry. Only then do we feel we can say we have helped to have a positive effect on the environment.
The Heritage Serenity includes the following features:
- Sheep’s wool insulation which is less energy consuming to produce, harmless, durable and recyclable, while still performing favourably against other more traditional insulation materials
- Triple Glazed windows, including K-Glass™, giving excellent heat retaining values
- A Highly efficient Condensing Boiler recovers waste heat which is then used to pre-heat water within the boiler system, producing heat with less energy
- Low energy lighting reducing demand on supplied electricity as well as being cheaper to run
- Solar panels generating hot water which can then be stored in the system
- Underfloor Heating System which is run from the solar generated hot water system
- Timber used in the construction of the home is derived from sustainable sources*
